Cool & Polished

So far I've been talking about little details and staple pieces (wrist gloves, pant cuffs, modern checks), but being able to put all those pieces together so that they create one harmonious look is just as important. What I love about his outfit is that he combined unique pieces of different colours and textures and created a clean , polished look without one piece overpowering the other.

The Mullet Look

No folks, this post is not about hair, but I'd like to call this outfit the mullet look. What they say about mullets can be applied to this very outfit. How? We have business up top (a collared shirt (with a twist: no sleeves!), tie, and vest) and then party on the bottom (grey cutoffs and a pair of Hi-tops). Much easier on the eyes than the actual mullet itself, don't you agree?

Move Over Lumberjacks

Let this be a lesson to all - this is how you wear plaid in the city. The design of this shirt is so intricately clever.  The shirt uses the same red, black and white colour palette, but the look of it is still so clean and fresh with the different textures and designs of the checks. This is a far cry from your typical red and black, flannel plaid shirt. Lumberjacks, you've been schooled.
